Study On College Students’ Depression,Its Relationship With Negative Life Events And Cognitive Emotional Regulation Strategies And Intervention Research | | Posted on:2024-07-25 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y Y Zhou | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2555307142492444 | Subject:Applied psychology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | The college stage is the key period of individual’s physical and psychological development,and its psychological health has become the focus of attention of family,school,society and country.Many studies have shown that college students may fall into depression after experiencing negative life events in life,study,interpersonal relationship and work.If early depression is not relieved and intervened,its continuous development may have adverse effects on personal cognitive function and social function,and even endanger life and health when it develops to disease stage.The discussion of depression state and its related factors can not only provide data reference and program suggestions for front-line psychological workers to alleviate depression in college students,but also promote the continuous improvement of mental health work in colleges and universities.On the basis of literature analysis,this study first adopted the "Flow Call Depression Self-rating Scale(CES-D)" to investigate 1238 college students with cluster sampling method to understand the status quo of depression among college students.Then,the Adolescent Life Events Scale(ASLEC)and the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CERQ)were used to analyze the relationship between negative life events and depression,and the possible mediating role of cognitive emotion regulation strategies was examined through the mediation model.Finally,the group psychological counseling was used to test the effect of improving the depression state of college students.The results of this study are as follows:(1)The depression state of college students is at a medium high level,and nearly half of them are depressed.(2)There are no significant differences in depression scores of college students,regardless of gender,place of origin,and no matter if they are the only child,and whether their family structure is complete.The difference is significant in grade,senior grade is significantly higher than other grades.The score of female college students in depressive emotion dimension is significantly higher than that of male college students,and the score of positive emotion dimension is significantly lower than that of male college students.College students from different places of origin have significant differences in the dimension of positive emotion,and their scores from high to low are as follows: rural,urban and urban.The score of the only child college students’ depressive emotion dimension is significantly higher than that of non-only child college students,and the score of the positive emotion dimension is significantly lower than that of non-only child college students.The score of positive emotion dimension of college students with complete family structure is significantly higher than that of college students with incomplete family structure,and the score of depression,physical symptoms and activity retarded,interpersonal dimension is significantly lower than that of college students with incomplete family structure.(3)Negative life events were positively correlated with depression,adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies;There was a significant negative correlation between adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and depression,and a significant positive correlation between non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and depression.(4)Cognitive emotion regulation strategy plays a partial mediating role in the influence of negative life events on depression.(5)Group psychological counseling can significantly reduce the level of depression of college students.In summary,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Negative life events not only directly affect depression in college students,but also indirectly affect depression in college students through cognitive emotion regulation strategies.(2)Group psychological counseling can reduce the use of non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies of college students,and thus has a significant positive impact on the improvement of depression. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Depression, Negative life events, Cognitive emotional regulation strategies, college students | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
