Research On The Application Of Changzhou Dialect Visual Design Based On Jiangnan Canal Culture

Dialect is an important component of local culture and the most important symbol of ethnic self-identity.Changzhou dialect belongs to the Piling section of the Taihu Lake Lake section of Wu dialect,with rich,vivid and interesting meanings.However,due to the decrease in the use environment of Changzhou dialect and the weak language pride of Changzhou people,the dialect is facing a crisis of gradual shrinkage.This study hopes to translate Changzhou dialect into the visual elements of the Changzhou section of the Jiangnan Canal with local characteristics,promote the inheritance,protection,and popularization of Changzhou dialect through audio-visual integration,and also better promote the Jiangnan Canal culture.This study takes Changzhou dialect as the main research object.Firstly,it comprehensively combs the cultural connotation of the Changzhou section of the Jiangnan Canal,and extracts elements that match the visual design of Changzhou dialect;Secondly,combined with specific design cases,summarize the graphic and text representation methods in dialect visual design;Then,it explores the connotation and phonological characteristics of Changzhou dialect,clarifies the design positioning,and summarizes the visual design methods and principles of Changzhou dialect on this basis;Finally,with the theme of "Yunyou · Qingyu Piling",the visual design practice of Changzhou dialect is launched.Through the research of this topic,the possibility of mutual transformation between dialect and vision has been discovered,providing a new path for expanding the protection and inheritance of Jiangnan Canal culture and Changzhou dialect.
