The bloodline of the Tibetan ethnic group and the nourishment of Tibetan culture have led Alai to always devote himself to writing about the Tibetan region. The identity of a minority writer has also drawn his attention to the fact that the Tibetan region has long been marginalized by the public.Alai consciously stood in the folk position to speak for Tibet and the Tibetan people, describing the life of ordinary people, reproducing the history and culture of the Tibetan people, shaping the typical images of marginal figures, and embodying thoughts on history, culture, ecology, human nature and other issues. This article will analyze Alai and his works from the perspective of edge writing, explore the background why Alai values edge writing and the edge writing presented in his works, and explore the spiritual connotations that support his edge writing, exploring the value and significance of edge writing in Alai’s novels. The introduction mainly explains the basis and significance of the topic selection, research summary, research ideas and innovation of the paper, focuses on the definition of the concept of "edge",and combs the previous research results of Alai’s novels. The first chapter mainly analyzes the background of Alai’s marginal writing, the influence of his childhood growth environment and accepted cultural tradition on Alai’s attention to the edge of writing; The identity of the inter-ethnic marginal people made Alai anxious about his identity. The collision and run-in process of Han and Tibetan culture on Alai had an impact on his attention to the edge and writing edge. The second chapter interprets the marginal theme writing and marginal characterization of Alai’s novels, and discusses the presentation of Alai’s marginal consciousness in the text.In order to witness the historical changes of Tibetans and examine the complexity of human nature,Alai wrote a large number of marginal themes that represent the style and features of Tibetan areas, including the reappearance of Tibetan history and culture, the excavation of the plight and anxiety of marginal ethnic groups, and the concern and reflection on ecological civilization, showing the history and culture of Tibetan areas and people’s life;At the same time,it has created a number of marginal figures who are at the edge of Tibetan society because of their conscious alienation or deprivation of discourse power; And the thinking of history, culture, ecology, human nature and other issues will be included in it.The third chapter discusses the spiritual connotation supporting Alai’s marginal writing, analyzes the impact of the open and inclusive folk cultural spirit, the simple and clean religious spirit and the historical spirit conforming to the trend on Alai and its performance in the text, and points out that Alai absorbs nourishment and inspiration from Tibetan folk culture, consciously stands on the marginal writing position of Tibetan folk, and forms its own internal writing style. The fourth chapter explores the value and significance of Alai’s marginal writing, pointing out that Alai’s literary creation focuses on the edge, and the performance of the edge is committed to dispelling the charm of "orientalism",which is conducive to letting the public understand and pay attention to the real Tibet rather than the mysterious Tibet, thus strengthening the exchange and dialogue between Tibetan and Chinese cultures on the basis of equality, enhancing the cultural identity of the Tibetan people, and promoting ethnic unity. The conclusion affirms the significance of Alai’s marginal writing, including writing Tibetan areas from the perspective of the edge, displaying Tibetan culture and reflecting on culture, history and human nature;Alai’s reflection on the Tibetan region is also a reflection on the world, reflecting profound humanistic care.
