A Report On The Simulated Simultaneous Interpreting Of "2022 (?)KODAAUTO Annual Press Conference"

In 2022,Volkswagen Group held an annual automotive press conference,which demonstrated the development vision of the ?KODA brand in the field of electric mobility.The conference aims to promote exchanges and cooperation in the automotive field at home and abroad,explore the industry response measures under the condition of the global epidemic prevention and control and the future development direction of new energy vehicles,and make full preparations for the personal travel revolution led by electrification.Guided by the Interpretive Theory,this report attempts to simulate the simultaneous interpretation of the keynote speeches of the conference,discuss translation skills and coping strategies,summarize the challenges encountered by the writer,and provide a case analysis of the difficulties and key points in the process.In this paper,the five aspects of task introduction,task process,theoretical foundation,case study,conclusion and reflection are presented,and using the theory of interpretation,also through the reduction of classic cases,the writer further explains the obstacles encountered in the simulated translation process and the corresponding translation methods.The problems faced by the author in the process of interpretation are mainly that there are many long sentences containing multiple layers of information in the process of simultaneous interpretation,and the process of interpreting these information-intensive sentences is quite difficult.The writer found that different translation strategies should be adopted in different scenarios in order to achieve a relatively ideal translation effect.This practice not only enriches the writer’s interpreting experience,clarifies his own advantages and disadvantages,but also accumulates valuable experience for the future automotive translation tasks.
