An Analysis Of The Sense Of "Dignity" In William Bouguereau’s Paintings

William Bouguereau is the end of the 19 th century to the early 20 th century French academic is the representative figure of classical art,and his life created a great number of works of art,in which the social care theme works,even depict life distress image of beggars,still to clean of good image in the eyes of the viewer,rooted in bouguer’s aesthetic value and spirit connotation,The works eulogize the "truth,goodness and beauty" of human nature,showing the yearning for a better life.This paper is divided into three chapters to study the "sense of dignity" in Bouguereau’s paintings: The first chapter mainly analyzes the gene of Bouguereau’s artistic achievement from two aspects of growth environment and social environment;The second chapter analyzes the "sense of dignity" in Bouguereau’s paintings through the interpretation of his three works.The third chapter discusses the inspiration of Bouguereau’s social care paintings to the author’s creation.Try to understand the painting spirit of the master,reproduce my own learning and thinking in the study process,and form a simple and neglected copy.
