A Study Of The Plot Of "Resurrection From The Dead" In Qing Dynasty Novels

The Qing Dynasty was an important period in the development of novels,with a prosperous creation of novels,a vast number of novels,and a rich variety of genres.The number of novels containing the plot of“resurrection”in the Qing Dynasty is large,involving 84 novels and 385 single novels,which include many excellent works.So this paper selects the plot of “resurrection” in Qing Dynasty novels as the object of study.In this paper,we focus on the plot of “resurrection”in Qing Dynasty novels.Chapter 1discusses the object of study,the current situation,and the research method.Chapter 2comprehensively composes the novels of the Qing Dynasty that contain the plot of“resurrection”,on this basis,comprehensively analyzes the different developments of this type of novels in literary short story collections,vernacular short story collections,and vernacular middle and long novels.Chapter 3 discusses the classification of plot types in novels.These novels are divided into seven categories:reincarnation in the underworld,reincarnation by marriage,reincarnation by divine magic,reincarnation by mound,reincarnation by transformation,reincarnation by false death,and reincarnation by“rebirth medicine”.Chapter 4 examines the thematic implications of these novels,focusing on four aspects:loyalty and filial piety,Buddhist and Taoist salvation,social chaos,and life ideals.Chapter 5 selects the most representative literary novels,Zi Bu yu,Sequel to Zi Bu Yu and “Feng Xiaoqing”novels for analysis.Zi Bu Yu,Sequel to Zi Bu Yu contains 75 novels of “resurrection”,which are not only substantial in number but also rich in plot types.Among them,The Lion King is profound in thought,criticizing the corruption of officials through a wrongful case of resurrection in the underworld,creating the image of ideal officials such as The Lion King,and expressing the author’s simple people-oriented thinking.The artistic characteristics of Zhang Yan Wang are distinctive,the language is strange in its simplicity,and the narrative is clever and natural.“Feng Xiaoqing”novels are very rich in creation,and their characters and thematic ideas have changed under the plot of“resurrection”.Hated Signs of Plum Island deepens the tragic fate of the characters.Xiaoqing and Lone Mountain Dreams Again use Xiaoqing to express emotions.The novel Jiyonglou changes the“Feng Xiaoqing”novel into the usual pattern of scholar and beauty,showing the ideal marriage and love from the male perspective.Chapter6 analyzes the reasons for the emergence of the“resurrection”novel.These novels were influenced by various cultural concepts,the rise and fall of the times,and the mentality of the literati.
