In recent years,the number of overseas Chinese learners has grown rapidly,and the group of Chinese language teacher volunteers has been expanding.At the same time,the psychological and physiological maladjustment of Chinese teacher volunteers after returning to China is prominent.However,there are few studies and countermeasures on reverse culture shock of Volunteer Chinese teachers.Therefore,this article aims to study the current situation and influencing factors of reverse culture shock among Chinese language teacher volunteers,so as to help the returned volunteers reduce their psychological and physiological discomfort and integrate into their life after returning as soon as possible.At the same time,it also provides measurable tools for relevant research.This study regards the questionnaire survey as the main method,supplemented by interviews to analyze the reverse culture shock and main influencing factors of the Chinese language teacher volunteers returning to Thailand.The questionnaire combines the reverse cultural shock scale,cultural assimilation scale,skill improvement scale and four scales of overseas activities,and finally compiles the research questionnaire on reverse cultural shock of Chinese teacher volunteers to Thailand.129 Chinese teacher volunteers to Thailand were investigated to investigate the current situation and influencing factors of cultural shock of Chinese teachers to Thailand.Then combined with the structural equation model,this paper discusses the relationship between overseas activities,cultural assimilation,skill improvement and returning cultural impact of Chinese teacher volunteers in Thailand.The main results are as follows:(1)The reliability and validity of the 4 scales reached the standard.(2)The mean values of the two dimensions of reverse culture shock: the degree of alienation and the degree of depression were 0.343 and 0.301,indicating that there was reverse culture shock in the volunteer group of teachers in Thailand.(3)There are significant differences in the reverse cultural impact of Chinese teacher volunteers in Thailand in Thai,teaching area and expected preparation.Among them,the impact intensity of Chinese teachers with good Thai language level is higher than that of other general Chinese teachers.In terms of regional distribution,Chinese teacher volunteers in the south are more vulnerable to reverse culture impact.Finally,it is expected that poorly prepared Chinese teacher volunteers will be subjected to a stronger reverse culture impact.(4)The relationship between overseas activities,cultural assimilation,skill improvement and reverse culture shock is as follows: the degree of cultural assimilation has a significant positive impact on the reverse culture shock;Skill upgrading has a significant negative impact on reverse culture shock;Overseas activities have an indirect impact on the reverse cultural impact through cultural assimilation.Finally,based on the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward specific suggestions on promoting the reverse cultural shock of Chinese language teacher volunteers to Thailand from the three levels of Chinese language teacher volunteers to Thailand,volunteer training teachers and dispatched management department.
