| This thesis focuses on the "bridge" images in the art works of the anti-American war effort, taking the visual image of "the bridge that keeps blowing up" as a clue, and combining the official reports, art works, films, photography and other texts and images of the same period to investigate and sort out the concept of "bridge" images in the anti-American war effort and the constructed sense of identity. The visual images of "bridges" are used as a clue to explore the concepts and the sense of identity constructed in the anti-American war effort, trying to restore the spirit of the anti-American war effort constructed by the images in the complex war field. The visual concept of "the bridge that won’t stop blowing up" is based on the objective demand of anti-American aid,and the meaning of the image expressed at different times is different. At the beginning of the period, the image of "bridge" appeared in the battlefield sketches as "blown up bridge",which was a documentary of the Korean battlefield by the art workers who went to the DPRK,and was later published by the People’s Daily as a propaganda for the friendship between the Chinese and DPRK people. The "blown up bridge" represents the enemy’s obstacle to the advance of the Chinese People’s Volunteers. As the war situation changed, the volunteer forces were in urgent need of supplies due to the lengthening of the battle line.In order to ensure that the supplies could cross the mountains and rivers of Korea in the enemy’s bombardment and reach the front line of the battlefield smoothly, the Logistics Command of the Anti-United States Assistance to North Korea proposed the establishment of a "steel transportation line that could not be broken or blown up".At this time, the art workers who went to the DPRK keenly captured the heroic and unyielding spirit of the volunteers in ensuring the smooth flow of the logistic transportation line, and expressed the strong will of the volunteers with the visual image of "the bridge that can’t be blown up",and formed the concept that "the bridge that can’t be blown up" is the embodiment of the spirit of the volunteers. The symbol of the embodiment of the spirit of the volunteer army. The image and concept of "the bridge that won’t stop blowing up" was widely spread, and then as the steel transportation line was gradually built on the Korean battlefield, the image of "the bridge that won’t stop blowing up" showed signs of evolution and fit closely with the steel transportation line, becoming an important symbol to represent the steel transportation line.It became an important symbol of the steel transportation line, representing the strong logistic power of the volunteer army.Six months after the end of the war,art workers who went to North Korea again chose bridges in the anti-American war as visual images to represent the transportation lines, and the concept of "the bridge that wouldn’t stop blowing up" continued after the war. After the war, people began to look back on the war,and the representative song "Battle Hymn of the Chinese People’s Volunteers",which was sung during the war,was used in the soundtrack of the film, which was closely related to the scene of the volunteers crossing the Yalu River. At the same time, art works also chose "Crossing the Yalu River" as the subject of the anti-American aid film. However,in the scene of "crossing the Yalu River",both the film and the painting are coincidentally centered around the Yalu River bridge in a similar period of time, and the "bridge that keeps blowing up" has a typical character at this time.-The Yalu River Bridge is portrayed as a witness to the resistance against the U.S.and Korea,a steel transportation line that cannot be bombed, and a bridge of friendship between China and Korea. |
