"No Tears No Sorrow" is a very characteristic aria selected from the national opera "Honghu Red Guards",it draws from the traditional Chinese opera and western opera techniques,is a successful attempt of opera nationalization,much loved and concerned by people.The whole song revolves around the core character Han Ying.This verse mainly shows Han Ying’s emotions of being fearless of life and death,absolutely loyal to the revolution and her comrades,and indomitable resentment towards the enemy.It successfully portrays an image of an indomitable,unyielding revolutionary heroine.This paper will begin with the narration of the historical background of the opera Honghu Red Guards,introduce the singing materials integrated into Hubei folklore,briefly summarize the vivid plot,tell the creation process,and explore the creation method of the opera from a professional perspective.In the second chapter of this paper,the rhythm of the song,the characteristics of the form,piano accompaniment,melody and other elements of the in-depth exploration and analysis,first according to the structure of the four parts of the opera detailed discussion,and then from the overall discussion,reflecting the excellent characteristics of Chinese traditional plate cavity.The third chapter,by studying Han Ying’s musical image and combining with the author’s own understanding and perception of the content and singing skills of the lyrics,focuses on analyzing how to use the lyrics with rich local characteristics to threedimensional carve Han Ying,a revolutionary who is a fisherman girl but full of great ideals and ambitions.Then,with the help of a comparative analysis of the versions of the works performed by Wang Yuzhen and Liu Danli,this paper discusses the different advantages of the works of the two generations from the aspects of their different sensuality,growth environment,singing characteristics,singing feelings,historical background and pronunciation,and experiences the different artistic shocks brought by the two generations of artists.
