Research On The Artistic Characteristics And Performance Techniques Of The Piano Piece "Hundred Birds Paying Homage To The Phoenix

Wang Jianzhong is skilled in combining ethnic music with Western instrumental music to create piano adaptations,and his works have had a huge impact on the development of Chinese ethnic music.In the piano adaptation of "A hundred birds are paying homage to a phoenix",Wang Jianzhong inherited the clear melody line characteristics of traditional ethnic music,cleverly applied the transplantation of suona performance techniques,vividly imitated bird singing,fully showcased the artistic characteristics of ethnic music,had high artistic value,and was deeply loved by piano enthusiasts at home and abroad.This article takes Wang Jianzhong’s piano adaptation "A Hundred Birds Facing the Phoenix" as the research object,and uses literature research,communication observation,and personal practice methods to focus on analyzing its artistic characteristics and performance techniques.The first chapter mainly provides a detailed overview of Wang Jianzhong’s life,works,style,and other aspects,and explains the creative background of the piano adaptation "A hundred birds are paying homage to a phoenix".The second chapter provides a detailed introduction to the artistic characteristics of the piano piece "Hundred Birds Facing the Phoenix",analyzing its artistic features from the aspects of melody and rhythm,mode and tonality,and musical structure.In the third chapter,I conducted in-depth research on the piano performance techniques of "Hundred Birds Facing the Phoenix" through personal practice,providing some playing ideas for performers.This mainly includes the changes in the timbre of its performance,the method of playing chords and ligaments,the method of playing jump notes,the techniques of using pedals,the playing of decorative notes,and the rapid alternation of hands.
