| Irony is a relatively common artistic expression in novels,which mainly reveals the embarrassment and absurdity of people in social life and personal situations through the conflicts and contradictions presented in the text.Li Er’s novels have a distinctive ironic quality through the complex arrangement of language,the conflicting treatment of plots,and the typification of images,which cover all aspects of life,highlighting contradictions and disharmony among them.Therefore,the art and significance of irony in Li Er’s novels are worthy of attention and systematic study.This paper takes Li Er’s novels as the research object,combines novels with the art of irony,analyzes the content of Li Er’s novels,combs out the art of irony used in them,and then analyzes the connotation and significance behind them.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the paper is divided into four chapters.The introduction mainly discusses the reason and significance of the topic,the research methods used in the paper,and the creation chronology and research status of Li Er’s novels.The first chapter discusses the theoretical basis and background of the irony art in Li Er’s novels.Through the diachronic comb of the concept of irony,the classification basis of the art of irony in this paper is clarified,and the art of irony is integrated into the background of Li Er’s novels,and the background source of the art of irony in Li Er’s novels is analyzed from three aspects: western literature,local culture and own experience.The second chapter discusses the types of irony in Li Er’s novels.This chapter uses the research method of close reading to sort out and summarize the use of irony art in Li Er’s novels.This part divides the art of irony in Li Er’s novels into two categories:rhetorical irony and existential irony.Among them,rhetorical irony is classified mainly from the use of irony and the misplacement of context.existential irony is classified mainly from the two aspects of situational irony and overall irony,and the specific presentation of various irony techniques in Li Er’s novels is detailed and pointed out.The third chapter analyzes the connotation of irony art in Li Er’s novels.This chapter selects the most representative creative themes in Li Er’s novels-history and reality,countryside and power,intellectuals and daily life-to elaborate and analyze the deep meaning of irony in Li Er’s novels.Among them,the part of history and reality highlights Li Er’s disappointed expression of personal existence,the part of village and power highlights Li Er’s absurd writing of local life,and the part of intellectuals and daily life highlights Li Er’s alienation presentation of survival difficulties.The three aspects together show the inner spirit and logic behind Li Er’s art of irony.The fourth chapter examines the social significance of the irony art in Li Er’s novels.Unlike the previous chapters,this chapter turns to the external study of Li Er’s novel texts,extending the art of irony to the social significance and social value level.On the one hand,Li Er always adheres to the writing position of intellectuals in her creations,and achieves a holistic view of modern intellectuals through the analysis of their actual situation;On the other hand,based on the theoretical foundation of the consciousness of judging ugliness,through the narration and analysis of human nature in the novel,the criticism and reflection of human nature under the consciousness of judging ugliness can be realized,which can express people’s inner anxiety and unease in the pluralistic background of modernization,and call on the public to pay attention to the inner world of intellectuals and the fate of the times,as well as the complexity and cunning of human nature.The use of irony in Li Er’s novels is very prominent.Therefore,this thesis attempts to use irony as a starting point,focusing on the specific application of irony in Li Er’s novels based on reading and research,and connecting the social background of the creation of the works,with a view to achieving a more detailed analysis of Li Er novel’s art of irony,In order to better understand the values and cultural connotations conveyed behind Li Er’s ironic art,as well as the resulting social significance. |
