The duet "Overlooking the Mountains" is selected from the third act of the national opera "The Road to Poverty Alleviation".It plays a connecting role in the plot development.The duet is sung by "Huang Wenxiu" and "Ban Zhirui",and praises the fearless spirit of grassroots poverty alleviation cadres who are brave to take responsibility and selfless dedication in the battle line against poverty.The duet "Overlooking the Mountains" is composed by Yin Qianwen and lyric by Song Xiaoming.The song has a beautiful melody,a wide vocal range and catchy lyrics,which fully shows the yearning for a better life in the future,singing people’s love for their hometown and determination to advance.This paper discusses the work from four aspects.The first chapter makes an in-depth research and analysis from the creation background of the opera "The Road to Poverty Alleviation",the introduction of the plot and the characters of Huang Wenxiu and Ban Zhirui.The second chapter combs the musical structure,musical melody and accompaniment texture of the duet "Overlooking the Mountains".The third chapter is the analysis of personal singing skills,in terms of the enunciation processing,the use of breath and the tacit cooperation of the duet.The fourth chapter summarizes the personal singing experience and talks about the personal practical experience,the purpose of which is to provide some theoretical reference and basis for the colleagues who learn this piece in the future.
