An Analysis Of The Pictorial Characteristics Of Post-Nineteenth-Century European Cityscapes

Cityscape,as a painting motif closely related to my own creation,contains a breadth and depth of content that is worthy of in-depth exploration as a separate theme.Cityscapes celebrate the power of man,showing how people transform their environment according to their wishes and needs.At the same time,as a "settlement",the city is constantly undergoing various changes.In the process of continuous construction and modification,factors such as social environment and political economy also affect the creative ideas of artists living in it.,expression techniques and style appearance have a great influence.This article summarizes and appreciates the intuitive picture forms in the works,starting with the urban landscape works of Utrillo,Hammershuy,Giacometti and Lopez,and interpreting them in combination with the pictures,analyzing the forms in the pictures,These artists are all inspirations for my own creation.Facing the urban landscape,the pictures and temperament they show are different.What they have in common is their true understanding and feeling of the urban landscape.This paper analyzes the works of the four artists side by side,aiming to clearly show the uniqueness of their pictures,and use this as a sorting method to better trace the source,summarize the main points,and assist their own creation.
