| The new HSK,a standardized test that tests the Chinese proficiency of non-native speakers,is used by many schools and companies to select talents.The purpose of the new HSK is to measure the language ability of the subjects,and the content validity of the test is helpful to achieve this goal.Based on the content validity theoretical framework of language testing,this paper starts with the Level 5 listening test,which has the largest number of new HSK candidates,and carries out evaluation research,hoping to improve the validity of the new HSK listening test,and at the same time provide some enlightenment for listening teaching of international Chinese education.This paper mainly adopts the comprehensive literature research method and statistical analysis method to carry out the research.Firstly,the literature related to hearing test and the reliability and validity of the new HSK hearing test is sorted out and summarized.Through combing,it is found that in the current domestic research on the reliability and validity of listening test,the number of relevant studies on the content validity of listening test shows an increasing trend,gradually catching up with other kinds of studies.Although domestic listening test content validity research results are increasing,the total number of new HSK listening test content validity research results is not large.At the same time,the demand for scientific evaluation and quality improvement of new HSK is increasing along with the popularity of international Chinese education.How to alleviate this contradiction? Obviously,it is urgent and imperative to study the content validity of the new HSK listening test.After literature review,this study combined with the characteristics of the new HSK Level 5 listening test,starting from three aspects: input characteristics,expected response characteristics,and the relationship between discourse input and expected response(input characteristics refer to the factors related to language input,such as topic and speed;Anticipatory response characteristics refer to the form in which subjects respond to input language,such as multiple choice questions and fill-in questions;The relationship between discourse input and expected response refers to the extent to which subjects’ responses depend on input content,such as theme questions and detail inference questions).The content validity of the new HSK Level 5 listening test is evaluated and studied through statistical analysis.Finally,some suggestions are put forward for the new HSK Level 5 listening test proposition and listening teaching:Since this paper is based on the framework theory of task characteristics,the thesis also gives corresponding suggestions from three aspects: input features,expected response features,and the relationship between discourse input and expected response:1.Input characteristics: In terms of topic selection,the topic of the text materials of the new HSK Level 5 listening test should be closely selected around the topic outline of the new HSK Level 5 listening test to ensure the validity;In terms of discourse length and speed control,since the intensity of information processing in discourse comprehension is jointly determined by the two,proposition workers should consciously control both the length and speed within a relatively stable range,with the length of the discourse ranging from 1700 to 1750 words and the speed ranging from170 to 250 words per minute.Readability,this paper mainly refers to the coverage of new words in the listening text materials,the coverage of new words in the HSK Grade5 listening material should be controlled within the range of 2-5%.2.Expected characteristics of the answer: mainly the coverage of listening skills,this paper suggests that we should strengthen the investigation of "understanding the main idea and gist" listening skills,try to keep each set of test questions at least 2 to 3 test this skill,can not be too biased to "infer from the listening content" listening skills.In this paper,the coverage of the four listening skills in descending order is as follows: "Make inferences from what you have heard" > "Understand the speaker’s intention,attitude,and point of view" > "Understand the main idea and gist" > "Obtain specific information".3.The relationship between discourse input and expected answers: Mainly in terms of the degree of dependence,this paper believes that more attention should be paid to examinees’ ability to analyze and conclude based on relevant background knowledge,that is,it is necessary to increase the proportion of indirect dependence types of questions.The new Chinese Proficiency test follows the principle of "combining test and teaching",so this paper also puts forward four suggestions for the new HSK Level 5listening teaching according to the existing problems: 1.Focus on training candidates according to the content of the listening to infer the ability;2.Develop a reasonable speed adaptation training plan;3.The topic content of training corpus closely fits the topic outline;4.Attach importance to cultural teaching. |
