Zi Chan And State Of Zheng:the Historical Narration And Image Creation Of Zuo Zhuan And Zichan Of Tsinghua Bamboo Slip

During the Spring and Autumn Period,Zi-chan was generally regarded as the representative of the noble class model politics.There are many records about him in the documents handed down before the Qin Dynasty,and Zuo Zhuan is the most detailed.Zuo Zhuan recounts Zi-chan’s life experience and ruling achievements,and portrays him as a "perfect" ruler with high moral cultivation and personality charm.This image has laid the main tone for later generations to write about Zi-chan.This paper takes the Zuo Zhuan and Zi-chan of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips as the main research object,and combines the historical documents to verify the content of the Zichan and the handed down documents.From the perspective of teaching noble children,Zi-chan summarizes the moral quality and ruling achievements of Zi-chan: in morality,Zi-chan is cautious,honest and self-control;In the face of diplomatic difficulties,Zichan used "Li" as a weapon to protect national dignity;In the face of internal crisis,Zichan united all major noble families and won the trust of the people.These contents can reflect each other with the records in Zuo Zhuan,so that we can understand the solution to the domestic and foreign problems faced by Zichan during his ruling period.The records of "Zheng Ling","Zheng Xing","Ye Ling" and "Ye Xing" in the chapter of Zichan provide new materials for the study of the issue of Zi Chan’s cast punishment book,which has been attached great importance by the academic community since its publication.Based on the records of Zi-chan’s ruling measures in Zuo Zhuan,this paper analyzes the three major reforms of Zichan from a holistic perspective.These reforms started from the background of the rise of private ownership and the transformation of production relations in the late Spring and Autumn Period,adapted to the new production relations,strengthened the ruling power of the central government,and found an opportunity for Zheng to recover and develop its national strength in the difficulties of internal and external affairs.From the perspective of the relationship between Zichan and Zuo Zhuan,this paper analyzes how the mainstream image of Zi-chan is shaped and established.Zi Chan is the representative of "Shi Yu" text in the Warring States period,and it is from the same original material as Zuo Zhuan.Zuo Zhuan is based on the notes of historians and supplemented by the legends of the Warring States Period and "Shi Yu" text.The narrative takes moral cause and effect as the thread.When Zuo Zhuan portrayed Zichan,it paid great attention to the cause and effect and moral significance of the record,and explained the cause and effect of the event in terms of whether it conformed to moral rationality.When shaping Zi-chan,Zuo Zhuan deliberately emphasized the theme of morality.In order to explain this theme more deeply,the author screened a large number of materials handed down at that time according to whether they conformed to the moral theme,and added decorative content to make the causes and consequences in the narrative clearer.After such a process,the image of the representative of the typical politics of the aristocracy in Zuo Zhuan was established and became the mainstream prototype for the later generations to shape Zi-chan.
