As a small part of public museums,wood carving museums in colleges and universities should express their unique culture through excellent creative design,so that their cultural characteristics can be carried forward.Based on the discovery and design reengineering of the output paths of wood carving thematic museums,we study the innovative ideas of the development of wood carving thematic museums in colleges and universities under the new situation,oriented to the cultural heritage of wood carving.This project analyzes the development of innovative design in wood carving museums,and discusses how to draw on the characteristics and highlights of local culture,leading to practical research on the design of cultural and creative products in wood carving museums in universities.The project summarizes the development methods of wood carving museums’ creative products series and the principles of wood carving museums’ creative design under the direction of public demand,and summarizes the main points of creative design to meet Maslow’s demand,and discusses the way of survival for the development of wood carving museums’ creative products in universities.With the emergence of new cultural needs,the design and expression of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory is applied to show the characteristics of the museum’s cultural creation and the future development trend.
