The Exploration And Application Of Texture Language In Contemporary Printmaking

In the modern Chinese dictionary,"muscle" refers to the surface layer of the object,"reason" refers to the surface texture of the object,"texture" is translated as the texture of the skin,also refers to the surface of the vessels,flowers and plants,mountains and forests,etc.The texture of the surface of the objects,i.e.the structural organization of the surface of the objects,and the texture of the printmaking is the texture of the various forms of the picture made by the printmaking technique,such as mottled and rough,staggered,delicate and even,etc.The collision between the subjective thought of the printmaker and the objective material is the key to selecting the language of texture,and the organic unity of the inner comprehension and aesthetic consciousness when creating prints.Through the continuous exploration of materials,techniques and forms,printmakers internalize the externalized texture language into an artistic expression showing their emotional demands,and the use of texture language can also add more possibilities to the development of printmaking.The first chapter gives a brief overview of the concept of contemporary printmaking,what is texture and the formation of texture language in printmaking.The second chapter distinguishes the categories of texture in printmaking from the state of existence,and analyzes the form of texture language and the use of principles to accentuate the picture through examples.The third chapter elaborates the reflection on the aesthetic development and visual experience of the language of texture in contemporary printmaking,and applies the reflection to personal printmaking creation,excavating how to integrate subjective emotions with the language of texture,citing some texture experiments and works to illustrate the formative significance of the language of texture for the construction of the picture,emotional expression,and ideological enhancement of creation.
