| More and more young people are leaving their hometowns to work in first and second-tier cities,and the "empty nest phenomenon" has become a social problem among young people in the 1990 s and 2000 s.There are two main reasons for this phenomenon: first,the rapid development of the Internet,the rapid changes in family and social structures and the rapid advancement of cities,and second,due to various social,educational and conceptual reasons,the self-concept of young people has changed greatly.Although "empty nesters" are the driving force of the changing urban landscape,they are not fully integrated into the social life of big cities.Therefore,discovering the hidden blind spots in the process of physical and mental health development of "empty nest youth" and solving them in time will become an important design breakthrough point to promote the harmonious development of society.This paper analyzes the overall living conditions and detailed emotional needs of "empty nest youth" and summarizes the measures and specific needs of "empty nest youth" in terms of emotional compensation.Using questionnaires,in-depth interviews and character portraits,this paper discusses how to create a series of product designs that meet the emotional compensation needs of "empty nesters" in the family life system of people and products.Based on the emotional compensation needs of "empty nesters",a more systematic solution is proposed,which ultimately provides some design benchmarks for the emotional compensation needs of "empty nesters" for home products. |
