In recent years,a number of policies have focused on constructing new public cultural spaces as one of the key tasks of public cultural construction in the new era.Developing new cultural spaces has become an important way to explore the construction of new public cultural service patterns and promote the high-quality development of public cultural services.Subway is the "window of the city" and a microcosm of urban culture.As an "embedded" public cultural space,the subway is a public transportation facility with high accessibility,high openness,and high pedestrian flow,which makes it an important pathway to extend high-quality public cultural services to the grassroots.Its great advantage of accessibility can improve the humanity,publicness,and equity of the public cultural service system.As a "world-class metro city",Wuhan has an extensive subway system with huge demand from ordinary people.Since the opening of the first metro line in 2004,Wuhan Metro has gradually focused on its public space attributes and extended its cultural service functions to meet public needs and demonstrate urban civilization,which are rewarding attempts to provide diversified public cultural services.In this process,the value orientation of Wuhan metro space has changed from "materiality" to "humanity",and started to build public cultural space based on three dimensions: material attributes of facility space,spiritual attributes of art space,and social attributes of social space.It has formed the spatial dimension of the metro public cultural services.In the current public cultural service system,although the service supply of Wuhan metro public cultural space has the advantage of accessibility,the problem of mismatch between supply and demand greatly affects the exploitation of this advantage.Therefore,it is crucial to take public demand as the guide and identify the specific problems in the service system.At present,Wuhan Metro public cultural space service has a serious sense of fragmentation of public art design space,a low utilization rate of public cultural service facilities,and low public participation in public cultural activities,etc.How to optimize the Wuhan Metro public cultural space service to promote fair access to public cultural services and meet public cultural needs has become the next challenge for the development of the Wuhan Metro public cultural space.In this paper,we target the Wuhan subway public cultural space,combine the new public service theory and accessibility theory,and explore the optimization and improvement strategies of the Wuhan subway public cultural space services.Firstly,we define the concepts of public cultural space,metro public cultural space,and public cultural service,explain the main contents of Wuhan metro public cultural space service,and clarify its accessibility advantages by analyzing the development status based on accessibility theory.Secondly,this paper discusses the problems and reasons behind Wuhan Metro public cultural space service based on the public evaluation survey statistics and data analysis.Finally,we propose the optimized countermeasures for the public cultural space service of Wuhan subway in four aspects: improving the public cultural material space,enriching the public cultural activity space,extending the public cultural virtual space,and expanding the public cultural participation space,so as to further improve the service quality.
