| Teenagers are in the crucial adolescent growth stage. On the one hand, they want to be independent because they believe they have matured. On the other hand, their thinking, cognition, emotional regulation, and other capacities are also in a stage of transition from being immature to mature. It still needs improvement, and when faced with challenges,it is simple to experience fear and other negative feelings, which can then result in problematic behaviors like dependence on mobile devices.Students with high levels of resilience can look at a problem more from their own perspective while also managing themselves well to come up with constructive and efficient solutions when faced with sudden stressful events.Students with high resilience also have a greater capacity for selfdiscipline and feel a greater feeling of assured control over their lives, which increases overall security levels compared to people with low levels of resilience. This study aims to examine the current state of junior high school students’ sense of security, psychological fortitude, and dependence on mobile phones, explore the relationship between the three, and raise their resilience through group therapy for resilience in order to lessen their dependence on mobile devices. This study is divided into two sub-studies.Study 1 enrolled 550 students from two junior high schools in Hunan Province and used a questionnaire survey to investigate the relationship between junior high school students’ sense of security, resilience, and mobile phone dependence.Study 2 enrolled 28 students from Study 1.Subjects with low resilience and high mobile phone dependence were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. As a result, the effectiveness of mobile phone dependence is reduced. The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The sense of security, resilience, and mobile phone dependence among junior high school students are significantly correlated.(2)Mobile phone dependence is considerably and negatively predicted by junior high school students’ resilience and sense of security, while resilience is significantly and positively predicted by junior high school students’ sense of security.(3)Junior high school students’ resilience partially mediates the relationship between a sense of security and mobile phone dependence.(4)Group counseling for resilience can help junior high school students’ resilience greatly, which will lessen their mobile phone dependence. |
