Schubert is the representative of early romantic music.His last year of life was the peak of his creation.Three Piano Pieces(D.946)was created during this period.Schubert has created three sets of impromptu,and the last set of impromptu is studied in this paper.Horopova’s "Three Dimensions of Music Connotation" is an important research achievement in the theoretical system of music connotation,and also a generalized theoretical perspective in the study of music connotation.The three dimensions are emotional,symbolic,and descriptive.Based on this theory,this paper analyzes the music connotation in this work.The first chapter of the paper is the summary of the music,which is discussed from the aspects of the composer’s music style,the genre of the work,the creation process and the analysis of the music form.The second chapter analyzes the musical connotation of Three Piano Pieces(D.946)from three dimensions: emotional,symbolic,and descriptive based on Hogepova’s theoretical research.The third chapter combines the above research on the musical connotation of the work,analyzes its performance skills,and guides the author’s practical performance.
