| As the "only child" of Beethoven’s opera,"Fidelio" is of great significance to the composer and occupies a unique position in the history of Western music.This essay takes the perspective of the opposition between the ideal and reality as the starting poi nt,and analyzes the deepening of the characters in Fidelio,the fusion of various musi cal styles,and the sources and concrete expressions of the two worlds represented in t he opera-the ideal and the reality,including the confrontation between different char acters in the opposing worlds.The text consists of five chapters: Chapter 1 takes the s ocial roots of the production of Fidelio as the starting point,and elaborates on the crea tive journey of the opera from failure to success and the various genres involved.The second chapter analyzes the musical ontology of the opera,including the significant p assages of solo,chorus,and repertory,in addition to the unique function of the orchest ra,in order to reveal the musical expression of these two spiritual worlds.Chapter 3 f ocuses on Beethoven’s changing emotions,implied heroic sentiments,and the act of g iving voice to the times during the composition process,in an attempt to reveal the sig nificance of the work for the times.The fourth chapter demonstrates the uniqueness of the opera and Beethoven’s transcendental thought from two aspects: the fusion and in novation of various opera genres and the inheritance and development of the idea of "salvation".Through the four chapters,we define the ontological value of music from t he concept of culture,and thus interpret the collision of "ideal and reality" in Fidelio. |
