Environmental effect of city underlying cohesive soil can be summed up stress field effect, groundwater chemistry effect, thermal effect, electric effect, etc. With the development of global economy and urbanization, there adds a new environmental factor-superimposed magnetic field on city in the environmental factors of city underlying rock-soil body. Applying the argument about mesostructure of soil body proposed by professor WuHeng, this text introduces magnetic effect into environmental effect of city underlying cohesive soil and makes preliminary research about magnetic effect of river alluvial cohesive soil of first and second terrace of Yong River of Nanning City through laboratory test. This text analyses magnetic effect of cohesive soil from the following aspects: its mesostructure conformational feature, mesostrucrural strength and deformational character, proposes new arguments about magnetic effect of mesostructure conformational feature of cohesive soil and magnetic effect of mesostructural strength of cohesive soil and approaches magnetic sensitivity of cohesive soil. This text also analyses fractal dimension of magnetic effect of cohesive soil and relation between it and intensity, and analysis grey relation of magnetic effect of cohesive soil, then approaches magnetic effect mechanism of cohesive soil finally makes preliminary zoning and analysis about magnetic effect of river alluvial cohesive soil of first and second terrace of Yong River of Nanning City. This text reaches some significant conclusions through an aforementioned series of preliminary research.This text's research about magnetic effect of mesostructure conformational feature and magnetic effect of mesostructural intensity of cohesive soil show that superimposed magnetic field on city can influence strength of soil body and mesostructure conformational feature of cohesive soil. After processed by magnetic field, zeta electric potential of cohesive soil particle produces changes, dissociation and adsorption action of clayey particles changes, the density of negative charge on the surface of clayey particle also fluctuates to some extent, the thickness of electric double layer on the surface of soil particle be affected, thus specific surface area of cohesive soil and content percentage of various size fraction change, and finally causing changes of engineering properties such as strength, deformation, etc of cohesive soil. Under given condition of moisture content, superimposed magnetic field on city can strengthen connection of cohesive soil particle, thus causing enhancement of intensity and reduce of compressibility of cohesive soil, and making it reflect considerable structural strength magnetic effect.The research of magnetic chemistry effect of cohesive soil primarily shows that there exists chemical component with magnetic sensitivity in part cohesive soil. Superimposed magnetic field on city can influent chemical component of magnetic sensitivity in cohesive soil and chemical reaction of chemical cement among soil particle, and can cause its cation exchange capacity change, thus cause changes of magnetic character of cohesive soil and chemical cementation among soil particle, and finally result changes of mesostructure, structural strength and deformation property of cohesive soil.Form the following four aspects: chemical component of cohesive soil, mesostructure conformational feature, physical character and energy feature to analyze magnetic sensitivity of cohesive soil, we can find that magnetic sensitivity factor of river alluvial cohesive soil of first andsecond terrace of Yong River of Nanning City includes the content of Iron and manganese in void water and its holding form and chemical component X3.95, the content percentage of size fraction which smaller 5 n m and degree of saturation, the connected status of mesostructure of cohesive soil.
