This work is supported by both scientific research key project fund of Ministry of Education and national Nature Science Foundation. In this dissertation, the ferroelectric domain inverted dynamics and technology are deeply researched by theoretical and experimental ways. Some primary achievements have been obtained in fabrication and second harmonic generation of periodically poling KTP crystals. Following emphasis contribution are included in this dissertation:Based on lots of electric field inverted LiNbO3 fabrication, the electric field distribution in the crystal is simulated computation. And the ferroelectric domain inverted dynamics is carefully researched. The chemical etched surfaces of PPLN reveal the relative characters of electric poling behavior. Some primary achievements have been got in the fabrication of flux-grown periodically poling KTiOPO4 (PPKTP) by high electrical voltage pulse. Ion-exchange is introduced to decrease the conductivity of KTP crystals. High voltage power is designed and made to generate waveform tunable pulse. Some PPKTP samples are made and the etched surfaces reveal that the inverted domain stripes are straight and no boundaries broadened.The second harmonic generation characteristics of PPKTP are theoretically researched. And in single-pass SHG experiments, the diode-pump double clad fiber laser at 1.064(m was used as fundamental light to pump self-made PPKTP device. Bright green light output was got from it. The SHG efficiency is 0.32% and the normalized SHG efficiency is 2.4%(W(cm)-1. There is no other similar achievement reported in China.The PPKTP optical parametric oscillator tuning and tolerance characteristics are theoretically researched. The conclusions could be used to guide experiments.The principles of THz wave generated from PPLN are researched and the tuning and tolerance characteristics curves are also give based on the method of optical parametric oscillator. The results fit well with some literature data. That means the theoretical model is useful to the further research.
