As one main aspect of nonlinear science, chaos has been got much attention by lots of researchers of various fields, and it has comprehensive applications in natural sciences and social sicences.Chaotic synchronization is an important research diretion of chaotic science. It has attracted great interests since 90's, and much progress has been got in its applications such as secret communication and image manipulation.Chaotic synchronization phenomena have been observed in More and more domains such as life science, economy and physics recently, while these systems don't ordinarily have same-structural subsytems or almost-same-structural subsytems. How to study chaotic synchroniztion between different subsytems becomes an acute problem, and its concerned work is very little up to now.This thesis is devoted to the study of chaotic synchronization between different systems and its related problems. In Chapter 1 we introduce some background knowledge and the significance of the problem we studing, at the end of this chapter we give a brief description of research progress. In Chapter 2-5 we give some methods to realize chaotic synchronization between different systems from different points of views, corresponding mathmetical proves and numerical examples. In Chapter 2, we give a feedback synchronization method and simplify its conditon in the second example. In Chapter 3, we use self-adaptive method to deal with this problem. In Chapter 4, we disuss exact linearization which develops from differential geometry and we recognize that the method can conserve much nonlinear information. In Chapter 5, we construct a generalized synchronization method between different systems. In Chapter 6. we try to apply chaotic synchronization to discuss riddled property of the attracting domains of strange attractors. Lastly, in Chapter 7. we make a brief summary on this thesis and prospectfor further research on chaotic synchronization between different systems.
