Quantum optics which focus on the research of non-classical fields have been developed rapidly, and it has attracted much attention over the past twenty years. Up to now, it was proved that the best practicable non-classical light was generated by the technique of OPO (optical parametric oscillator). Many experimental results showed that optical parametric process is one of the best ways for generating squeezed states, and has been extensively developed in its application.In this paper, theoretical and experimental studies of tunable sub-Poissonian light are given using the the quantum correlation of twin beams generated by OPO above threshold and feed-forward control mechanism. This kind of sub-Poissonian light will play an important role in quantum precision measurement and quantum communication. On the other hand, the transfer of intensity quantum correlation with two pairs of twin beams is also theoretically and experimentally investigated, which may promote the practicability of quantum information of continuous variables. The main research points of this paper are following:1. The generating of twin beams via OPO is introduced in detail. The noise properties and measurement of twin beams are also analyzed.2. The mathematical model of classical control theory and several general analysis methods are briefly introduced. The application of the classical control theory in noise suppression and precise temperature controller is also shown.3. The theoretical discussion about the generation of sub-Poissonian field using intensity quantum correlation of twin beams and feed-forward correction mechanism are given. And the tunable characters of twin beams in OPO are also analyzed.4. The tunable sub-Poissonian light from 1076.4 run to 1083.8 nm is experimentally realized by tuning the temperature of KTP crystal in OPO; Combined with the tuning of the length of pump laser cavity,...
