Systematic studies about the sedimentation, stratigraphic sequences and hydrocarbon accumulation conditions of Kongdian Formation in Bamianhe area have been done in order to understand the regulations of hydrocarbon accumulation and hydrocarbon exploration potentials of Kongdian Formation in Bamianhe area, and basis searching exploration targets in this area are provided in this paper. The framework of the stratigraphic sequence has been constructed in Bamianhe area. One Ill-order sequence and three IV-order sequences have been identified . Every one of IV-order sequence is consists of a flooded plain system tract and braided stream. Based on the result of above studies, the patterns of stratigraphic sequences of Kongdian Formation have been constructed, with flooded plain deposits dominated at the early stage of sequential development and braided stream deposits dominated at the middle -later stage ofsequential development. The sedimentary system of Bamianhe area has been studied within the field of the stratigraphic sequences theory. Alluvial fan facies, braided stream delta facies and flooded plain facies are developed in Kongdian Formation of Bamianhe area. In flooded system tract, the flooded plain facies is dominated ,with sand bodies underdeveloped . In the braided stream system tracts, the delta facies is dominated, and sand bodies well developed. The alluvial fan facies only occur locally. With the studies of oil-source rock correlation, it is proved that the oil in Kongdian Formation of Bamianhe area sourced mainly from Kongdian source rocks, probably mixed with the oil generated from source rocks of Shahejie Formation. In this paper ,the hydrocarbon accumulation patterns also have been constructed for Kongdian Formation of Bamianhe area. The oils which sourced from deep source rocks of Kongdian and Shahejie formations in Dongying depression migrated upward along slopes through faults, unconformities and carrier layers of sand bodies , and accumulated...
