Aimed at the problems existing in NMR rock physics and its application on petroleum industry, a series of basic research and its application to petroleum exploration and development have been conducted.Beginning from the first kind of integral equation, two kinds of methods i.e. Singular Value Decomposition method (SVD) and transform inversion method that fit for the inversion calculation of NMR relaxation of rock have been derived. The mathematical processing was discussed in detail. The advantage and disadvantage of the two methods have been compared in theoretics and application. From the view of the freedom, we discussed the resolution of NMR relaxation inversion and the method for the selection of optimal inversion. Results showed that SVD method fits for the inversion calculation of NMR relaxation data with higher signal to noise ratio. However, transform inversion is more flexible and can be used for the relaxation data with lower signal to noise ratio. The relationships between NMR relaxation and petro-physics properties of rock have been studied systematically using the continental deposit rocks existing commonly in Chinese oil fields. Totally, 223 continental deposited cores have been selected from Chinese oil fields. The difference between NMR and conventional measurements has been discussed. Research covered reservoir fluid NMR properties, natural gas NMR properties, NMR T2 response, pore size distribution, porosity, permeability, moveable fluid and T2 cutoff time. Results of the research...
