Based on the introduction of the polarization of coherent light, the dissertation presents three methods of polarized interferoaetry. The polarized shearing moire interferometry eliminats succesfully the disturbance of the out-of-plane displacement derivatives and obtains in-plane strain patterns in real time. Introducing two carriers in recording, polarized shearing holographic-moire acquired the in-plane displacement derivative field for the first time by holographic interferometry. With a sandwich, the polarized speckle-photoelasticity obtains the absolute redardation fringes from 3-D model, which offers the supplement equation for experimental solution of stress analysis. In addtion, a new opinion for the range of holographic interferometry and experimental verification are given, and the range of speckle and moire interferometry is derived from the spectrum analysis of image holography. These results will promote the further development and application of the interference methods in optical mechanics.
