The high efficiency reserves have been explored and developed since 1996 in Benbutu and Baolang Oil Field , Yanqi Basin. The question is how to explore and develop the original reservoir in the one hand , in the other hand is how to evaluate unused reserves . The answer to the question is to find some new reservoirs . The useful methods is to use rolling exploration to find new reserves effectively for raising production. Benbutu and Baolang Oil Field belong to high-steep conformation reservoirs , we can't identify clearly high-steep structure just by seismic interpretation. The strenuous change of seismic-wave velocity makes deep structure unreasonably and interpreters hold different opinions about the mode of deep structure. The uncertainty of faults and structure bring the uncertainty to the boundary of trap. Therefore, the method of using seismic and geology for comprehensive research is a good way to identify the feature of reservoir, reduce development risk , and get maximum benefit. The research to this kind of available reservoir distribution, control factor for the development affection will give a hand to the other kind of reservoirs. The paper do detailed research on the strata, structure, reservoir control factor about the Benbutu Oil field by division and correlation of sub-strata , seismogeological horizon calibration , 2D/3D seismic interpretation, the research of velocity pitfall , inversion , lithologic character, heavy mineral, well testing and producing test. The findings is there are two different low-lying depositional environment , two different provenances. The distribution of reservoir is controlled by structure , physical property and edge water energy ; the energy of two different provenances in sand body is different.The paper about the following explore and develop in Baobei Block , Baolang Oil Field do research on reservoir distribution and tapping potential horizons based on correlation of strata. The findings of sediment provenance , sediment feature , distributaion of reservoir and connectivity of sand body are got by rock constituents, log, boring with sampling, production performance , reservoir isopachous map , strata isopachous map. This technology are ensured for the exploration and development of high-steep structure.The paper put forward to the conception of weathered crust for the first time in BaobeiBlock , Baolang Oil Field , Yanqi Basin and do correlation of sub-strata for Eogene system and Jurassic system. The findings is that the strata , which belonged to Eogene system, should be Jurassic system by the research of drilling time log , sedimentary environment, lithologic features, electrical property, analytic and assay materials , crude oil property, permeability , the rule of hydrocarbon accumulation; and simples oil-bearing horizon and reservoir fluid properties , gets clearly the following method of exploration and development.
