In recent year, interests in the synthesis of chiral ligand bearing NNO tridentate and their complexes have attracted many scientists for their use as catalysts in different organic reactions. BINOL is an efficient chiral inductor widely used in synthesis of chiral ligands. Interests in BINOL and its derivatives are due their chirality, their C2-symmetry system and their flexibility. The main works in this thesis are the followings. Two chiral ligands based on BINOL bearing NN donors were reported. They were prepared from the condensation reaction of the BINOL aldehyde with two amines bearing NN donors atoms (N,N-dimethylethylenediamine and 8-aminoquinoline). They were characterized by spectroscopic methods:'HNMR,13CNMR, FTIR, MALDI-TOF.Their isolations have showed that they could be prepared in good yields. Their nickel complexes were synthesized and characterized; their crystal structures have showed that they are trinuclear and dinuclear system based on the ligand structure. In addition, their behaviors towards different catalytic reactions have been carried out.The chiral ligands bearing quinolyl moiety at 3,3'-disubsituted was tested as catalysts in asymmetric reaction of addition of diethylzinc to aldhydes. The results showed that the ligand catalyzes the system when associated with diethylzinc and produce secondary alcoholsNNN-tridentate anilido- aldimine have been designed and synthesized. Its mono zinc complex has been synthesized. Ligand and complex were well characterized. The crystal structure of the mono zinc complex revealed that the structure exhibit a monomeric structure with a four-coordinated metal center. The chiral ligands bearing quinolyl moiety at 3,3'-disubstituted was used as receptor for the detection of metal ions. The experiments showed that the receptor showed selective recognition to zinc.
