The purpose of this thesis is to realize effective catalytic reduction method with CO high selectivity to prepare aromatic amine under mild conditions. The catalytic process includes the catalyst system and reaction system. The selectivity and activity of catalyst can be regulated with changing of conditions. According to the thinking, the thesis gets the destination. It's found that the aromatic dinitro compounds can be monoreduced to nitroanilines in high selectivity, aromatic nitro compounds and muti-cycle aromatic nitro compounds can be quantitively reduced to the corresponding amine by selenium catalyst with CO/H2O in polar aprotic solvents under atmospheric pressure using medical inorganic bases as co-catalysts.On the base of experiments we postulated the mechanism of the reaction. We think the active species is SeCO under high pressure and is H2Se under atmospheric pressure. In the atmospheric reduction the forming of active species is control step. The concentrations of nitro compounds and water decide whether reduction or carbonylation. There is the character of reaction process phase transfer catalysis in the selenium-catalyzed reduction of aromatic nitro compounds to form the corresponding aromatic amines with CO/H2O.
