Since high and new-tech products require the surface quality of the work pieces higher than before in modern times. For example: the metallic scanning turnlens of laser detecting, the metallic reflector processing of laser triggered fusion, the reflector substrate of laser gyrosystem, the film plating reference surface processing of topical lens, the processing of magnetic head, the instrumental bearing processing of artificial satellite etc, whose precision and surface roughness are needed to achieve the standard of nano-roughness. So some experts forecast that the development of mechanical manufacturing is underway the direction of high precision, high efficiency and microminiaturization. And the first decade of 21 century will be the critical ten years in which thesuperfmishing technology will turn into the nano and subnano-processing technology. With this kind of prospective, many domestic and external experts and scholars are actively carrying out this work, basing on traditional mechanical dry and wet polishing technology, they have put forward new methods of elastic emission processing, mechanical chemistry polishing and fixed abrasive polishing etc, which can make the surface roughness of the work pieces achieve nano-roughness, the common are two characteristics of these methods are that: One is using abrasive, the other is achieving further decreased from the surface roughness by decreasing the dimension of abrasive. But it is very difficult to make the surface roughness of the work pieces achieve nano-level standard. The nano-polishing technology of ice dish is a kind of completely new superfinishing processing method in the advanced manufacturing filed in recent years, which is a polishing method that uses ice dish without any abrasive as polishing tool and polishes on the work pieces. Non-abrasive polishing is a great innovation, which breaks through the confined idea of the necessary abrasive used on the traditional polishing.Basing on the former research, which has demonstrated that ice dish polishing is an extremely effective method for the topical material getting super smooth surface, the paper also contains the research on the nano-polishing technology ofice dish aiming at the common metallic alloys in the engineering.First, we make a theoretical study of the polishing technology of ice dish on metallic materials. Because the ice dish polishing is nano-processing, there is a greate difference between the physical nature of microcosmic processing and the macroscopic physical nature of traditional processing. The traditional macroscopic processing law could no longer be used to describe the nano-processing phenomenon and mechanics law. Therefore, the microcosmic theory is applied to the exploring of ice dish polishing processing mechanism on metallic materials in the thesis firstly. Setting out from the internal atomic construction of metallic materials, according to the fundamental dynamics equation, the electronic Fermi energy of the metallic solid and the atomic binding energy of LY12, YG6 and 45 steel have been worked out. The alloy construction of the choosing test pieces has been analyzed and defined, and all kinds of defection of the test pieces surface have been analyzed. The lattice distortion, dislocation and crystal boundary of three kinds of test pieces have been worked out. The force and mechanical energy of the work pieces have been calculated in the proceeding of ice dish polishing. The melting heat of ice has been analyzed in the actual proceeding of ice dish polishing. The exhausted energy has been figured out. Basing on all kinds theoretical analysis of the various kinds of energy in the process of ice dish polishing, the external energy, the internal atomic binding energy and all kinds of defection and the exhausted energy of ice dish melting have been studied in the actual proceeding.
