To make suitable specific requirements for users, production department must be organized small-lot multi-specs produce, according to market need, the continuous casting slab must be supplied enough specs, so continuous caster has to be added. In order to adapt market competition, cost reduction and decrease specs of continuous casting slab, building the linker slab width of continuous casting and continuous rolling, the sizing press technique was emerge as the times require and development greatly. Baosteel co., ltd. introduced a set of sizing press mill from foreign, that is SP(sizing press) mill. It's better action to reduce the slab width specs,species and expand hot rolling production scale. Depended on the project that "SP stress analysis and Countermeasure Research" was given by Baosteel co., ltd. and rolling mill institute of Yanshan university, finite element simulation of SP's the kinematics,dynamics and slab deformed rules durin sizing press overall were researched. In order to study the SP mill valid side pressing range, the die validity stroke was built in vector and optimization theory, based on original mechanism changeless. For further enlarging die validity stroke, a method that adding a crank and sliding block in synchronism mechanism was brought forward in this paper, the mathematical model of die validity stroke was built after reformed, and optimization were carried out. It can make die validity stroke enlarge greatly. The boundary condition of velocity and displacement was gained during slab side press, through analyzing SP die kinematics character. The course of slab sizing press was simulated using thermo-mechanical couple and elastic-plasticity nonlinear finite element theory, and analyzing effect of different initial temperature,initial width,side press value,die angle,leaning angle on slab section shape,rolling force,temperature field. The SP mill dynamics model rigid and flexibility with clearance was built using finite element and impact theory. The effect of clearance,friction,the impact force of rolling force and the deforming of connecting rod of side press on pair stress and die kinematics. Were analyzed the change rules of dynamic stress and strain of connecting rod during slab size press, the change rules of contact force in time-domain and frequency-domain with different clearance in synchronism orientation of side framing and synchronism framing were researched. In order to analyses the reasons of lining board and bring forward reformed scheme, lining board stress analysis model were built in gravitational force orientation using little deforming theory, combining with die slop angle on rolling force and die movement in side press orientation. For further analyzing stress distribution and change rule within lining board, lining board stress analyzing finite element model was built using elastic finite element, it can supply theory support to lining board reformed through a great deal datum analyzing. In order to proof the correctness of built model in this paper, industry test was proceeding for SP mill, including: analyzing for lining board strain testing in-line,studying rolling force in-line,measuring slab shape offline,studying lining board fatigue testing offline and testing die acceleration in-line. It can check model reality through compare testing datum with emulation results.
