Zabuye saline lake is located in Zhongba county, Tibet autonomous region. The distance from Lhasa city to Zabuye (across Xigaze city) is 1050km. The height of lake level is 4421m a.s.l. It is a supperlarge Li, B, K saline lake. Through the on-the –spot work at Zabuye saline lake, the solar pan and it's related technologies about extracting of Li2CO3 have been studied systematically. The main conclusions as follows: 1. The basic train of thought about producing mixed salt with higher content of Li2CO3 is brine frozen and evaporated in solar pan, which makes Li+ content of brine rise to saturation point at the brine temperature and then raise brine temperature but don't evaporate. After Li+ saturation in brine, the indicator of controlling it is temperature. 2. When the content of Li2CO3 in mixed salt is constant, it regires a lower temperature if the content of Li+ in brine is higher. But a higher temperature for the lower content of Li+ in brine. The production rate of Li2CO3 has a positive relationship with temperature. 3. The multi-ways of heating is reqired when more solar energy wanted to be collected. 4. Miraberlite-brine may be selected preferably for building solar pond. The greater specific gravity of solar pond brine is better. The upper layer of which needs to be added more fresh water or fresh brine. 5. Crystallization pond of fixed plastic film shed may be referenced for building large scale one. 6. It is important that scatter industrial Li2CO3 powder into crystallization pond in order to make Li+ precipitate quickly. 7. The method for building solar pan is mud, salt and sand are ground into small fragments and mixed uniform with brine, press tightly as far as possible.
