The surface properties, ball mill and crushing efficiency, the surface modification, compactibility and pressing agents of superfine Ti(CN) and WC material powders were studied systematacially in this paper for the first time. The viscosity of ball mill feed pulp of superfine Ti(CN) and WC was decreased and the crushing efficiency of the powders was increased by adding different surfactants. The oxidation resistance of Ti(CN) and WC-Co were increased by the powders surface modification and surface passivating. The compactibility of mixture powders of superfine Ti(CN) base cermets was increased by adding different surfactants and polymers, it may be pressed to inserts of complicated shape. Two patents of pressing agents were achieved, the new pressing agents are applied to handwork mixing as well as spray drying process. The relations of the magnetic properties among the chemical compositions, the sintering atmospheres, the microstructure, the physics and mechanical properties of superfine Ti(CN) base cermets were studied systematacially in this paper for the first time also. The corresponding total content of the carbon, nitrogen and oxygen in alloys of cermets after sintering respectively in Ar, vacuum and N2 were increased respectively, the corresponding Co-% (saturatation intensities) were increased and the corresponding lattice constants were decreased in turn. Sintering in Ar or N2 would bring about ununiformity in alloy's microstructure, the N2 had a more affect on them, the nitrogen content of the alloy sintered in N2 was increased by 0.5%, the coercive force appeared disorder. The microstructure was uniformity comparatively sintered in vacuum, the performance of cermets is the best in all; there is positive correlation between the Co-% (saturatation intensities) and the coercive force. The Co-% magnetism may be used to characterize the change of the gross of the carbon, nitrogen and oxygen in alloys of cermets, the coercive force is a criterion used to characterize the structural uniformity in alloys of...
