Porous carbon materials with nanosized structure, narrow pore size distribution, and large surface area have shown charming potential applied in gas separation, water purity, and catalyst support. However, the wide application of porous carbon materials is still facing challenge because of the difficult separation of nanosized carbon particles from the system, the difficult synthetic conditions for the use of hard template, and limitation in large scaled synthesis. Recently, the functionality of porous carbon materials is becoming one important trend. Thus, it is valuable to synthesize functional porous carbon materials with regular morphology by a simple and cheap method. On the other hand, transition metal carbides and nitrides with characters of covalent solid, ionic crystals, and transition metal have been widely applied in many fields. Especially, these materials show the similar activity to rare metal in a series of catalytic reactions. However, the conventional synthetic method only leads to the carbide and nitride with low surface area. It is desirable to synthesis...
