Inorganic functional materials have been widely used in optic, electric, magnetic and biologic fields. Studies show that these optic, electric, magnetic and biologic properties of inorganic functional materials are strongly affected by their size, dimension, aggregation and morphologies. Many emerging applications of inorganic functional materials require precise control of their size, dimension, aggregation and morphologies, and therefore, the development of synthetic strategies for the control of size, dimension, aggregation and morphology of the inorganic functional materials is increasingly important. In this thesis, we describe 1) the preparation of functional inorganic membranes with special surface patterns, and 2) the study of wettability of the as-prepared membranes. 3) the facial and general methods on the preparation of nano-structured semi-conduct oxides; 4) the study of optical properties of the as-prepared semi-conduct oxides.1. AlO(OH) membranes have been successfully prepared on AAO films through transforming the surface Al2O3 component to AlO(OH) via a copper catalyst by using a simple two-phase thermal approach. Our results show that the wettability of membranes strongly depends on the sructure and orientation of fibrous boehmite coating formed at different conditions. It is demonstrated that the hydrophilic rough...
