The numeralization and intelligence of design and manufacture for complicated mechanical systems is the technical key to developing equipment manufacturing. Manufacture system for core part of fundamental device, such as spiral bevel and hypoid gears, aero's engine vanes, and screw propellers of submarine, depend on the elevation of research level on complicated mechanical systems.To study machining techniques of complex curved face like spiral bevel and hypoid gears, it is looked at an entrance for Gleason gears with middle modulus to access the essence of researches of machining, simulation and kinematics of spiral bevel and hypoid gears. In this dissertation, several aspects like design, machning methods, simulation systems and generation principle are located as cut-in pointes for investigating the processing theories and technologies of Gleason gears.Using the homogeneous coordinate method, the spatial kinematics of complicated curved faces shaping for spiral bevel and hypiod gears is researched. Through proposing Maclaurin formula for simplifying the traditional spiral bevel and hypoid gears calculating method, the computation speed is elevated. The proposed method is much faster and easier than the directly derivative method.Recur to computerized multi-environmental design thought, manufacturing parameters pre-modification and optimization mode of spiral bevel and hypoid gears is presented. Building the design parameters aid computation and virtual manufacture system, the tool trajectory study and practical machining process parameters pre-modification and optimization are achieved by visualized analyzing simulated machining process and virtual gear products.Through presenting web-based spiral bevel and hypoid gears virtual manufacture mode, a remote design and simulation system of spiral bevel and hypoid gears based on Browse/Server method is built. The sharing service and romate utilization of spiral bevel and hypoid gears manufacture resource on the web platform are realized.To sum up, researches of this dissertation are a benign trying and demonstration for the following studies on the multi-purposed simulation systems, the measurement and assessment of processing error of hypoid gears, tooth contact analysis, and innovation of gear generation principle.It also will be a good explorative research helpful to Oerlikon and Klingelnberg gears with their principle of extended outside cycloid, continued indexing method, and so on.
