There has been emerging interest in organic electroluminescent materials with the polarized light contributed to their potential applied value in the colour-image projectin, stereoscopic displays, light-emitting device and back-light for liquid-crystal displays(LCDs). In this thesis, the latest development of circularly polarizied luminescent materials was summarized and reviewed according to the principle of molecular structures and performances. A kind of porphyrin compounds with chiral side chains was designed and synthesized based of the molecular-structure characters of circularly polarizied luminescent materials. The reaction was carried out utilized derivates of optic isoamyl alcohol or cholesterol with the position benzene ring phenol hydroxyl. The characterizations of circular polarization, liquid crystal, photoluminescence and electroluminescence were studied, and the relations between the molecular structures circularly polarizied absorption were compared.The research results indicated that the porphyrin derivates having chiral side chains presence the optic active state at the radiation transition contributed to the strong coupling between the chiral side chain and the porphyrin ring. The CD test revealed that the CD absorption bands appeared in both Soret band and Q band of porphyrin ring. According to the corresponding relation of molecular fluorescent absorption and emission, the materials must be having the CPL properties. At the same time, a kind of liquid crystal with high transformation temperature was obtained through the introduction of flexible side chains into the porphyrin ring.On the other hand, a series of long-chain metal platinum complex Pt(C^N)(O^O) was synthesized by the microwave at first time in this thesis. It was demonstrated by experiments that the microwave technology shortened greatly the reaction time from 32 hours to 30 minutes compared with the normal method. The conditions of the microwave reaction were easy to control and the yield of the microwave reaction was higher. Moreover the phosphorescence, the photoluminescence and the electroluminescence of the long-chain metal platinumcomplex were researched. The research results showed that the EL devies's external quantum efficiency was reduced because the intermolecules function was easy to produce between the luminescent materials and the matrix materials due to the introduce of the long chain into the ligand of theβ-dialkone.
