The people's notion is influenced by advance in science and technology. The development in the last few years can equivalent to summation of last hundreds of years. But the change of environment is more and more severity. Especially in recent years, people have an urgent desire to find out a series of new materials to solve the crisis of energy and environment. Polymers have been pay attention due their self- virtue. Azo materials as one sort of polymers own photochemical trans– cis structure have been used in a large number of domains. As well known, azo possesses trans-cis isomerization characteristic under ultraviolet (UV) and visible (Vis) irradiation and its polymers have been attracted more and more attention in recent years due to their potential application for optical elements and photonic devices. One of the most interesting properties for Azo polymers is its bending, which can be induced by exposing to light at modest intensities on Azo polymer films. Light as a clean energy can be controlled rapidly, precisely and remotely.However, there are few reports concerning that introduction of the Azo groups into high performance nonliquid crystal polymers, which possess a lot of virtues, such as a high Tg, excellent mechanical performance, well resist eroding of chemistry, endurance high temperature, low electric performance, and resistance of irradiation. In our experiment, the Azo group was introduced into the main chain of the poly(amic acid), and a novel nonliquid crystal polymer was obtained. The obtained film exhibits a high Tg and a high bending intensity, and shows fast bending responses at room temperature, which can improve the efficiency of the transformation of energy from light to mechanical energy.In this work, we considered application of practicality, synthesized main/said nonliquid azo polymer. And mechanical strength, dielectric constant, information storage and nano structure are researched.First, we synthesized a series of nonliquid azo polymer PAAA, PDPE, PASD. And all of their polymer film is irradiation by Uv and Vis. We gladly found that these nonliquid polymer film can photoinduce orientation at room temperature, and bending can reach more than 60 oC. People can make more normal temperature materials due to this property.The materials of PAAA, PDPE, PASD dielectric constant also have been researched. We utilize the change of trans– cis structure to inflect electron cloud distributing. And then the controllable dielectric constant materials have been got. We got orderly nano-fibre depend on electrospinning, and found time was shorten largely. And we discover a way to get nanoball by electrojet, that can obtain more yield.
