With the acceleration of urbanization and rapidly growing demand for urban transportation, the traffic congestion and other traffic problems has been gradually increasing. In order to solve the traffic conflicts, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) has been widely built all over the world. Urban Traffic Control System (UTCS) and Urban Traffic Flow Guidance System (UTFGS) are two important subsystems.The cooperation of these systems has played a positive role in improving urban traffic conditions. The technology for cooperation of large-scale traffic control and traffic flow guidance is part of important research on the Novel Intelligent Traffic Control System(NITCS). This paper focuses on the key technologies used in cooperation of large-scale UTCS and UTFGS. This dissertation analyzes characteristics of large-scale UTCS and UTFGS, put forward a cooperation of large-scale UTCS and UTFGS framework for cooperative research, proposed a distributed database model for cooperation of large-scale UTCS and UTFGS, built a large-scale UTCS and UTFGS synergy information platform based on the Mobile Agent, construct synergy strategy and model of large-scale UTCS and UTFGS. These technologies will provide necessary technical help for the implementation of wide range traffic control and traffic flow guidance synergy. Main content of this paper as follow:(1)Briefly introduced the research background and research purposes and analyzed current urban traffic problems, then present the significance of large-scale UTCS and UTFGS synergy, Meantime put forward the key technology used to implement wide range traffic control and traffic flow guidance synergy based on the analyzing, inducing and summarizing the relative research outcome(2)Reviewed the basic methods and theories used in this paper and gave a systematic study of the advantages and disadvantages of existing methods, analyzed the requirements and characteristics for cooperation of large-scale UTCS and UTFGS, research framework provided essential basis and reference for the key technologies of large-scale traffic control and traffic flow guidance synergy.(3)Analyzed data characteristics of large-scale UTCS and UTFGS synergy, built a distributed database model for cooperation of large-scale which is conformming to Characteristics of cooperation data. Design the database based on Oracle.(4)Firstly analyzed the functional requirements of large-scale traffic control and the traffic flow guidance synergy information platform to meet the need of synergy, then built the framework of this large-scale traffic control and the traffic flow guidance synergy information platform based on Mobile Agent, and gave the method of Mobile Agent design and implementation.(5)This part summarized and analyzed the existing model and algorithm of traffic control and traffic flow guidance synergy, then proposed a traffic control and traffic flow guidance synergy strategy and created a synergy model based on big system hierarchical control theoryThe last chapter is the summary and prospect of this paper. This part summarized the main research results of this paper and forecasted the ideas for future research.
