Along with the development of the Highway Transportation, Industrial production and Business Trade, It is required that the Highway Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) systems have more functional performances. Weigh-in-Motion is an effective means and a technical qualification of modernization and scientization for the rapid automatically weigh measurement, strengthen the management on the overloading conveyance and the enforcement of the overloading rule. For the Highway Weigh-inMotion systems, the weighing accuracy and the speed of the vehicle moving are the most important standard specification. It indicates the technical level of the WIM systems. While the weighing signal processing of the actual Weigh-in-Motion is simple digital filter and no further signal processing technique. So the WIM systems is demanded to has a relatively wide board for axle-load of vehicle and the lower speed of vehicle moving, so that there is enough time to get steady weighing signal which is to be used to calculate the Gross-Vehicle Weight. Under the condition of the WJM systems?accuracy, in order to reduce the size of WIM systems?structure and increase the speed of the vehicle moving, some basic research work on Highway WLM systems is finished and some creative solution is presented in this dissertation specified in seven chapters.Chapter 1 presents the problems, narrate the background of WIM systems study and establish the frame of the dissertation.Chapter 2 based on the factors analysis influencing the accuracy of WIM systems and the method processing the weighing signal, this dissertation brings out the basic principle designing WIM systems, derives the model of measuring axle-load and designs the algorithm for axle-load estimation.Chapter 3 expatiates on the means testing the WIM systems?dynamic performance, and designs the test to measure the dynamic performance of it.In chapter 4, firstly analysis the characteristic of weighing signal, and then brings out the method, using the optimization, with which the long disturbance is removed in short-term signal. Finally, digital simulation studies show that the well capability can be obtained. The pretreatment of the weighing signal is the subject of chapter 5. Based on the Wavelet Multiresolution Analysis, the weighing signal is turned into the signal in different frequency domain, so that the subsequence treatment is easy to do.According to the method designed in these chapters, chapter 6 carries out the treatment for experimental data, and good accuracy is obtained by the results of test. The results show that the solutions are correct and capable.Chapter 7 presents the essentials and conclusions of the whole paper.
