In this paper the thermal shock on piston, which is one of the heated parts of internal combustion engine is selected as investigated subject. The thermal shock test has been carried out in the thermal fatigue simulation test stand developed. Meanwhile the 0 dimension 1 dimension plane wall 2 dimension models are established. Using the mathematic and ANSYS software the numerical and soluble analyses can be got for the thermal shock model of the piston. Compare the simulation results to the test results the temperature field and stress field can be got which are quite close the thermal shock situation. In this paper the random theory has been applied to the study on the piston random thermal shock and also the special law of the temperature field and stress field has been got under the thermal shock condition. The above research results of theory and test make a contribution to the study on the thermal damage of the piston.The main content and creating point in this paper :1. The thermal state of the piston has been studied under the thermal shock in the first time. The lumped parameter system of the temperature has been established under the triangle rectangle and instantaneous impact. And the simulation results also have been got.2. The solution of the temperature variation is got during the rectangle impact.3. The random theory is applied to the thermal shock model in the first time . The lumped parameter system and the plane wall random model have been established and the simulated results are also have been got.4. The first thermal shock stand in china has been developed. It has creation on simulation thermal state of the piston and control methods.5. The above thermal shock model and thermal shock stand has been applied to the simulated calculation and test of the piston of mode 6150 diesel engine successfully.This paper is sponsored by National Natural Science Fund(59876034)...
