An auto crash test system, which has good property using mechanism to store up energy and helix orbit cone to draught, was developed in this thesis. Using new computer programming language Lab VIEW together with C/C+ + language, the auto crash test data acquisition and control system has been developed efficiently. The crash process is controlled by computer automatically. Many sled crash tests and real vehicle crash tests have been done using this system. At the same time, a new front bumper airbag system is invented in order to improve auto safety. The computer simulation and test research on the new airbag system have carried out. As a result, this system can protect both passenger and vehicle efficiently.Chapter one IntroductionAuto traffic accidents cause plenty of personal and property loss in the whole world every year. It forces governments and automobile enterprises to put in plenty of manpower and material resources engaging in vehicle safety research. Especially in our country, because of the accidents going up year by year recently, the government had to make strict automobile safety regulations to promote vehicle safety research.Vehicle safety is an extremely complex systematic project. The research is concerned with machinery, vehicle engineering, medical science, traffic project, law, insurance, sociology, psychology and education and other subjects. Its research content includes traffic accident injury epidemiology, injury biomechanics, vehicle safety engineering, safety regulations and evaluate system and vehicle safety technologyComputer simulation combined with test techniques can analyze complex auto crash problems deeply and it offers theory basis and test basis for auto crash safety improvement.Chapter two Study on Auto Crash Test Equipment Using Mechanism to Store up Energy and helix orbit cone to draughtAuto crash test equipment using mechanism to store up energy and helix orbit cone to draught is consist of equipment to draught, equipment to terminate test, the sled and its direction lead equipment, equipment of crash energy absorbing, and system of data acquire and control. The detail structural design and calculation of auto crash Test equipment is introduced. Optimizes design of helix orbit parameter have been made by program using MATLAB language. Structure of energy absorbing equipment has been determined by computer simulation with commercial FEM software ANSYS to satisfy acceleration waveform of test requirement. The data acquire and the control system isprogrammed with LabVIEW together with C/C++. The test error was reduced efficiently and the computer automatic control for crash process was realized. Plenty of sled and real vehicle crash tests have been done using mis system. Plenty of test data to choose reasonable control parameters were provided. At the same time, these offered effective means to engage in the research of crash safety. These tests show mat the system is stabilized and reliable using mechanism to store up energy.Chapter three Study by computer simulation and tests on new type airbag system in front bumperThe new airbag system in front bumper of automobile is made up of sensor, warning device, ignition control system, airbag and gas generator. This paper has presented the detail of the structure, ignition algorithm, computer simulation and test research results about the new airbag system. According to theoretical analysis and experimental research, the moving window algorithm has been used as the ignition control algorithm, which can prevent error ignition efficiently in the automobile normal using. This paper has established the calculation model of automobile, human body and new airbag system. The simulation calculation has been completed using MADYMO software. The numerical results show that the new airbag system can efficiently reduce the acceleration peak width and value when automobile crash is occurred, accordingly reduce the damage of automobile and injury of passenger by reducing efficiently the HIC value of passen...
