Today's manufacturing modes are deficiencies in rapid respond to market demand, moreover, they also have contradiction between flexibility and productivity. So, new manufacturing mode must be studied. Therefore, some scholars bring forward a new manufacturing mode named RMS(Reconfigurable Manufacturing System). Automobile industry is important for every country, in intense competition, it must produce individuation automobile which have individuation bodywork as quickly as possible. Welding is one of four automobile manufacturing process, and the rapid construct for welding line is one of predetermination condition. So, using RMS in welding line design is of importance for strengthen enterprise competition. This paper aimed at the special activity of car welding, studied that in the instance of small change of chassis, the key supporting techniques for re-configurable car welding manufacturing abbreviated PCDIKS.â‘  The planning technique for automobile welding line reconfiguration was studied. The character of automobile welding was discussed. Without the simulation condition, using weldability coefficient and fuzzy estimation, different welding sequences rationality was quantificationally estimated, and the tool based Web was developed. The method for made model of automobile welding extant relation graph was discussed. With the rule of groupware and cut-set arithmetic, the welding sequence was solved. The time which a station need was determined by the complexity of parts and the number of welding spots. The balance degree of each station can be expressed with asynchronism and the multi-layer resource model was built base the orientated-object method and the estimate system was brought forward.â‘¡ The technique for welding clamp rapid reconfigurable design was studied. Welding clamp configuration design was the key step for the whole welding line reconfiguration and its keystone was orientation and part's standardization. Because the bodywork pieces are sheet, they are prone to deformation at the direction of perpendicularity. So the orientation points in first datum plane must have more than three, and the effect was decided not only the point's amount but also its place. With finite element analysis, the best project can be found. The database system of welding clamps which must be comprised by resource database and arithmeticdatabase. The design methods of part's standardization and the estimation target for welding clamp are developed.â‘¢ The technique for in-process diagnoses faced bodywork welding was studied. The dimension precision of bodywork could embody the quality of whole automobile. Because of the complexity of bodywork structure, the error origin was of complexity and multiplicity. Since the technique for in-process diagnoses can guarantee the welding line on work, it became one of key technique. The dimension precision of bodywork can be expressed by the key point dimension, and with the method of correlation, the main factor which was the cause of error can be exactly discovered. In view of the calculate work was so cockamamie that a software was developed. In practice of project, the fine benefit was gained.â‘£ The technique of information integration based soft component was studied. The reconfiguration system of automobile welding must have a reconfiguration information flat. The realization of information reconfiguration must solve three questions that is legacy system reuse and new system modularization and these information integrate. In view of whole manufacturing system, the structure of information integrate was developed and criterion of CORBA and it's core were discussed. At last, this technique applied in practice of developing CA-HJCAD system.The technique of welding Knowledge database and simulation were not discussed in this paper.
