The proposition of the paper is set as Research on Hydraulic Engineering Collaborative CAD Model Based on Design Flow Management because it's very important to study this topic under the supporting of modern CAD, which has been developing very rapidly recently. All the themes of this paper are related to Hydraulic Engineering CAD(HECAD) networking, integrating and collaborative design. The main contents are as follows:1) Focused on the close relationship among systems and high requirement for collaboration during the design process in HECAD field, the field analytics of HECAD is studied in detail after some basic conceptions and basic presumptions are put forward. Through the dividing of HECAD domain, a hydraulic collaborative CAD model based on design flow management is obtained and a series of core technique are discussed such as function distribution, development strategy, collaborative working manner, reusing manner etc.. As a result, a study frame about HECAD is provided under the new technology conditions.2) To solve the problems such as large grain system, long development period, bad expandability, bad integration ability and so on in HECAD software development, the grain division, classifying method, developing strategy, attributes, model, interface, reusing design etc. about a system is studied deeply, which should be solved firstly before developing a system. Consequently, a domain analyzing and system plan tool about HECAD is developed to study the problem of environment harmony among systems.3) To meet the demand of hydraulic engineering design in large_scale and multi_major collaboration, a new collaborative design mode named passive collaborative design based on DFMS is given, a set of study system is built and many core technique problems are studied in detail. In communication manner, the communication mode, the communication atomic language and the communication server and so on are designed. In design flow modeling, a new design flow model definition method based on object oriented colorful Petri net is put forward. In sub_task dispatching, the task database, the task dispatch algorithm, the task dispatching time and its amending algorithm, the task dispatching execution plan etc. are designed. In version management, the version model of design object is built and the relationship between the linkers in DFMS model and the version model about design objects is studied.4) According to the requirement of passive collaborative design for DFMS, a new resource management oriented DFMS mode is provided and some core technique problems including operation mode, resource division, management strategy for resources etc. are studied in detail. By the realization of a RODFMS modeling system, the theory about passive collaborative design and its applying in hydraulic engineering field are verified.5) To solve the uncertain modeling problem about hydraulic buildings, a new modeling method named aggregation modeling based on graph object technique is put forward. As a result, the graph model of solid gravity dam is designed. The graph object of water_proof dam section taken as an example, the design and implement of self definedgraph object is discussed. By the use of the notification_reaction mechanism in ObjectARX, the mutual operation mechanism among graph objects is built. After that, the optimal design of water_proof dam section is studied in order to integrate analysis and calculation function with graph objects. In order to meet the demand of cooperative design, the remote loading and remote activating of graph object is studied using COM/DCOM.
