High power STATCOM is a research hotspot on current electric power system FACTS equipment. This thesis writes exactly about the application research of high power STATCOM, combined with the theory and experience acquired in studying ?00KVA STATCOM equipment.The first part of the thesis, chapter one introduction, firstly summarizes domestic and international achievements of theoretical research and project application on STATCOM equipment, then raises problems existing in the aspects of theory and application research on STATCOM equipment, finally brings forward creative points that will expatiate in this thesis.By virtue of taking into consideration of every component's dynamic feature in electric power system, chapter two of the thesis, sets up a electric power system dynamic model that contains STATCOM. This model takes the linked voltage between STATCOM and electric power system as state variable of system state equations, adds the changing process of converter's DC capacitor voltage which reflects STATCOM adjusting dynamically reactive power of system, and contains the control variable to control the linked voltage. The calculated result of a example shows: The system dynamic model and analyzing method referred to in this thesis is very effective in studying STATCOM control to electric power system.In the aspect of studying STATCOM non-linear controller, chapter three, adopts dual-closed-loop intelligent integrated control mode that are composed of an external-ring controller and an inner-loop controller to research STATCOM non-linear controller. In designing external-ring controller, a mimic humoral immune response mathematic model is put forward, and a voltage controller based on this model is devised to stabilize the voltage of electric power system. This voltage controller simulates the function of humoral immune system, and sends instructions to the inner-loop. In designing inner-ring controller using variable structure neural network fuzzy control algorithm model, a conception using triple to describe three dimension of knowledge is put forward, which simulate the thoughts of electric expert more effectively so as to make fuzz rules more exactly and more appropriately. A research method using a kind of variable structure neural_network algorithm to adjust rules improves the ability of self-studying and self-adjusting in fuzz control rules. A method based on variable optimizing match to optimize fuzz logic reasoning effectively decreases the calculation amount of fuzz reasoning and improves calculation speed.The analyzing result of simulation shows: the dual-closed-loop intelligent integrated control method which applied in designing nonlinear controller raised in this thesis can improve comprehensive ability of the controller and strengthens its control effect to the system.In the aspect of employing new-type high power device to plan STATCOM equipment main electric circuit, chapter four, after analyzing over voltage generating mechanism of IGBT module and working principle of over voltage protective absorbing circuit, adopts a new designing method for STATCOM main circuit structure and for its protective absorbing circuit so as to plot STATCOM main circuit, and selects optimizing parameters of the absorbing circuit through self-correcting multi-objective parallel genetic algorithm optimizing technique. It has been applied in high power STATCOM project, compared with traditional designing method, optimized absorbing protective circuit is more secure and cheaper.Based on the theoretical research done in the previous chapters, Chapter five offers development scheme and debugging results of a +300KVA STATCOM equipment based on IGBT power module. This equipment is completely the same with higher power STATCOM equipment which will soon be used in project application in main circuit topological structure, control system hardware circuit and system software module, which has a clear directing point in project application of higher power STATCOM on-spot equipment.Chapter six summarizes the theore...
