Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) combines the advantages of conventional engine-driven vehicles and pure Electric Vehicles (EV). This provides satisfied driving performance and lower exhaust emission. Thus, HEV is a feasible solution to solve the energy crisis and environmental pollution problems.Quasi-Rhombus Vehicle (QRV) is a new fashioned vehicle which was invented by Hunan University and has completely independent intellectual property right. Based on this vehicle, we shall investigate new style HEV which is named as quasi_rhombus hybrid electric vehicle (qr_HEV). This paper has a deep research on qr_HEV's general design and control.According to qr_HEV's structural characteristic, this paper adopt traditional differential, a 2K-H bevel gear negative mechanism which meshing method belongs to ZUWGW gear trains, as power coupler. In order to validate this project feasible, it is founded a new power coupler's three-dimensional model using UG first, and then made simulation using Adams, which ascertained kinematics and dynamics characteristic about this power couple's rotate speed and torque of three input and output ports. Dais experiment also validates this result's correctness.By using this new power coupler, it is designed a new hybrid power drive train based on platform of QRV with CVT and brought forward a suit of theories about design, choice, and matching of HEV's parts based on the new drive train, which has instructional effects on trial-manufacture of qr_HEV. It was one of technic exploitation cores and foundations about HEV, and was important to incarnate completely independent property right , and deal with corporation's nucleus technology secret, which overseas corporations used rigorous way to blank off.According to study the current situation about international electric vehicles, it used seven nodes' distributed control system based on CAN. After study on SAE J1939, CN2004B Protocol and CN2004A Protocol which based respectively on CAN2.0B and CAN2.0A were put forward independently, and validated their feasible and reliability by offline simulation test hardware in the loop half_simulation test.To reduce research cost, it researched and open out a forward model of HEV based on MATLAB\SIMULINK|PSB|FIS for blocking thought, and validated this model validity and reliability contrasting to experiment result.HEV's control strategy was affected by many factors and had a determinative influence on HEV's general capability greatly. By completely researching on qrHEV's performance of every assembly ,it is made a deep discussion and analyses of control Strategy based on HEV with belt-CVT, and brought forward two suits of control Strategies which were compared with each other.
