Airports are in the node position in the whole air transportation system, and airport extended terminal area is always the bottleneck in it. This is an important area, which is worth of focusing, researching and optimizing, if its operational status has any improve, it will greatly benefit the efficiency of the whole system. Based on this, this dissertation focus on airport extended terminal area (air side), do theoretic research for its properties, capacity evaluation and operational optimization strategy.First, an indeterminate analysis runway capacity model is constructed, which is based on probability theory and actual statistic airport traffic mix. The model can result the maximum runway capacity and runway capacity curve of an operating airport. Then based on the capacity analysis and subjects, capacity optimization strategy is analyzed using LP model, in which include fixed capacity allot strategy, variable capacity allot strategy, priority capacity allot strategy between approach and departure and fix point capacity limitation. Aircraft landing scheduling problem, which is categorized in NPC, plays an important role in airport capacity and operational efficiency. With this problem, first an 0-1 MIP model is constructed and analyzed, then, a MPS implicit enumeration algorithm is developed, which can put out the optimize result in subjecting to MPS=1, after adding additional subjection -time window depth limitation, it can achieve that the computational effort increase linearly with problem size. Meanwhile, the result from several heuristic algorithms are also compared and discussed. Finally, another approach, based on genetic algorithm, is also conducted, combined with special designed crossover/mutation operator and integer chromosome coding, the illegal descendant producing are avoided, and the computation data shows a promising result.The primary innovations are as follows:1, An indeterminate runway capacity analysis model is constructed and coded in computer software, this is the first domestic approach in this way.2, Under the subjection of runway capacity curve, this is the first domestic approach on comparing the strategy of fixed capacity allot, variable capacity allot, priority capacity allot between approach/departure and fix point capacity limitation.3, Develop a new MPS implicit enumeration algorithm to aircraft landing scheduling problem independently, which achieve the computational effort increase linearly with problem size. This is superior to those published abroad.4, Compare the algorithm efficiency of LP, MPS implicit enumeration optimize, MPS implicit enumeration with time-window and heuristic, shows that MPS implicit enumeration with time-window have near the same efficiency compared with heuristic one, but the former can satisfy more complicated subjects.5, First using GAs to solve aircraft landing problem domestically. Develop a new chromosome coding and specialized crossover/mutation operator, which is superior to those published abroad.
